Do It Today

Day 10 of 30

I’m a few days behind on my videos.

But you know what? I’m still counting it. I’m still catching up. I will show up 30 times, even if it wasn’t exactly one per day.

Life has been full—running between soccer games, gymnastics, late nights, and just being a wife and mom. And honestly, the hardest part isn’t even sitting down to record. It’s deciding what to talk about.

Because I’m so used to not talking about it.

So when I get to the end of the day, and I don’t already have a topic in mind, it’s easy to say… I’ll do it tomorrow.

But then it hit me—how often do I do that in life? How often do I take today for granted, assuming I’ll have time tomorrow?

Tomorrow Is Not Promised

We know from the Bible that tomorrow is not promised. Yet, I still catch myself pushing things off.

  • When someone crosses my mind, and I think, I should call them—why don’t I just do it today?

  • When I feel the nudge to make a connection, why wait?

  • Even something as simple as sorting through my kids’ clothes—if I know it needs to be done, why not now?

I’m not saying we shouldn’t plan. Of course, some things need to be scheduled. But there are plenty of moments where I could just show up now. Where I could take action today instead of assuming I’ll get the chance later.

Because what if today was the last day? Would I be able to say I did the thing?

Stop Waiting. Start Moving.

So, this is my reminder—to myself and to you: Do the thing today.

Make the call. Have the conversation. Take the next step. Because assuming we’ll always have tomorrow? That’s a risk we can’t afford to take.

What’s one thing you’ve been putting off that you can take action on today?
